Serendipity Steele

I wrote a huge paragraph about this picture but somehow I lost it when trying to post. So here is take two.
As Kim has gone bushwalking he has coerced me into doing some pictures while he is away. I wanted to do a simple pencil sketch today but apparrently I do not currently own a pencil.
So after a few hours spent rummaging through every box and drawer in the house I instead opted for an alternative approach.
I have gone for a quick photo montage image manipulation, rendering the original photo back to a threshold level then converting it into one of my juvenile comic book characters. I have then printed and rescanned the image to give it that faded look. The printer streaked a bit but I think it adds to that early 90’s style I was goin for.
The character is Serendipity Steele who was a bit of a teenage homage to Bethelham Steele but wore a few more clothes. She is a good old fashioned fleshbot turned intergalactic smuggler, bounty hunter and freebooter with dermal plating and jacked up with all kinds of piloting and combat software. Every nerd teenager’s dream- a cybernetic Han Solo with breasts. Tomorrow after I go to the shops and buy a pencil I will actually try to draw something in the old school traditional manner. Dan.
