Forgot I was supposed to be drawing something for today. So quickly waved my Nikko pen around like a Sonic device, “That’s Screwdriver!”, scanned it in and coloured in the blanks on photoshop. Drawing took about 3 minutes if that. Scan about 40 seconds and colouring about 2 at most. A practice sketch for my proposed 365 characters in 365 hours coming soon once I work out the rules with Kim.
The posting probably took longer than the sketch. I was a bit excited because I just watched The End of Time preview on Children in Need. Dan.
As I may have mentioned yesterday I presently do not seem to own a pencil. And somewhere between my morning coffee and getting the veges I forgot I was also supposed to be procuring one from the news agency. However I was taking a photo of myself for Movember on the webcam on my laptop and it seemed that I was currently bearing a distintive likeness to a Warcraft Troll. So a quick colour balance, some dodgy tusks and a couple of mouse lines later I was ready to brave the wilds of Azeroth.
I will remember to get to the shops tomorrow for that pencil. Dan.
I wrote a huge paragraph about this picture but somehow I lost it when trying to post. So here is take two. As Kim has gone bushwalking he has coerced me into doing some pictures while he is away. I wanted to do a simple pencil sketch today but apparrently I do not currently own a pencil. So after a few hours spent rummaging through every box and drawer in the house I instead opted for an alternative approach. I have gone for a quick photo montage image manipulation, rendering the original photo back to a threshold level then converting it into one of my juvenile comic book characters. I have then printed and rescanned the image to give it that faded look. The printer streaked a bit but I think it adds to that early 90’s style I was goin for. The character is Serendipity Steele who was a bit of a teenage homage to Bethelham Steele but wore a few more clothes. She is a good old fashioned fleshbot turned intergalactic smuggler, bounty hunter and freebooter with dermal plating and jacked up with all kinds of piloting and combat software. Every nerd teenager’s dream- a cybernetic Han Solo with breasts. Tomorrow after I go to the shops and buy a pencil I will actually try to draw something in the old school traditional manner. Dan.
I will be bushwalking in the Mt. Barney area from tomorrow morning until Monday afternoon/evening. I will be doing a piece each day, but will be unable to post them until my return.
To keep the site interesting during my absence I have invited a very good friend to do some guest posts, whether he does or not is entirely up to him.
To be honest I have never actually played a final fantasy game for longer than a few hours. I have however watched a number of them played through. So not a main character, not even an attempt at one, more just fiddling around with ridiculous clothing.

Two thoughts occured to me yesterday whilst driving behind this example of ‘Truck Nuts’ in traffic, actually make that three, but I’ll keep the third to myself.
First many men reffer to their vehicles as ‘she’ perhaps in defferance to the massive amount of time they spend riding/driving them. But why then put testicles on them?
Second if they truly were the gonads of an organism, showing the manliness of the vehicle and presumably by association the driver capable of steering such a testosterone fuelled beast, they would in fact be be disproportionately small, see: example 1, example 2
regarding example 2 please be advised to never, never, ever use the search term ‘bull balls’ in google image search with safe search filter set to off.
